The Preservation Society is fundraising to create the region's first Underground Railroad Museum open to the public.
The Preservation Society acquired the c. 1887 Lockingen House on Linden Street to redevelop into affordable/workforce housing.
The UMass Boston Mass. Memories Road Show visited Fall River.
The grant will be used on capital projects in the future Underground Railroad Museum.
Funded by a Community Preservation Act grant, the Design Guidelines for the preservation of historic properties are available for all Fall River residents.
