Why it’s important: The committee will discuss the approved appropriations for FY20 projects and North Burial Ground emergency funds as well as the Fall River Historical Society and Fall River Fire Museum.
TBD 2019 – City Council: Committee on Real Estate (@ TBD): [AGENDA]
Why it’s important: The Preservation Society has been invited to attend, along with the property owners of the Nathaniel B. Borden School and the Historical Commission, to discuss the slated demolition.
June 18, 2019 – Historical Commission (@ 6:30 p.m.): [AGENDA]
Why it’s important: The owners of the N.B. Borden School will appear before the Historical Commission after filing a permit to demolish the structure. The meeting is a chance for public input.
June 12, 2019 – Highland Neighborhood Association Meeting (@ 6:30 p.m.): The Preservation Society is attending the meeting at the request of the neighborhood association to discuss the upcoming auction of the Highland Nursing Home.
June 4, 2019 – City Council (@ 7 p.m.): [AGENDA]
Why it’s important: The City Council will vote on the appropriations for the FY 2020 community projects recommended by the Community Preservation Committee. The Preservation Society has two projects before the council.
